Throughout our family's history dogs have served us. As young children our puppies and dogs have become our best friends, been a shoulder to cry on and have healed our hearts into adulthood. What Makes Us Different.
Bernedoodles are the perfect breed for just about every family. By relying on health-tested moms and dads and our unique development program, we take pride in helping our puppies foster secure and loving temperaments, whether they be right for an active home with rushed mornings, a home in need of a service dog, or somewhere in between.
Our Puppy Nursery.
Our bernedoodles are raised in our home and enjoy a daily curriculum that is structured to increase nerve strength, confidence, and huggability. We raise our puppies using the BAB curriculum that greatly improves your puppy’s start in life. Starting at the tender age of just three days old our puppies start in the nursery with daily ENS - Early Neurological Stimulation - which strengthens their cardiovascular performance, increases stress tolerance, and provides them with a greater resistance to disease. From day 16 they undergo daily massage and handling exercises that help them to succeed at being comfortable at the groomers, at vet appointments, and with being touched, handled or hugged. These exercises are also vital to prepare our puppies for possible future therapy/service dog training.
Our Puppy Curriculum.
Our curriculum progresses with the age of the puppies, and daily new exposures to sounds, textures and environments helps put them on the right path to being a secure and happy dog. For example, we provide a safe and calm environment while playing the sounds of fireworks, traffic noise, thunder and everyday neighborhood noise on numerous occasions during their 8 weeks with us. Our curriculum also includes problem solving tasks, nerve strengthening exercises, and general exposure to a multitude of items that a dog will likely encounter in their lives, such as very young children (thanks to my wonderful grandbabies!). These excercises greatly improve our bernedoodle puppy’s confidence!
Temperament Testing.
We honor our bernedoodle puppies by matching them with their perfect family based on their temperament. This ensures a lifelong bond and a happy life for both puppy and owner. Puppies undergo temperament testing at the age of 7 weeks to help families choose the right fit for their needs.
